New to SMS Pro™ in 2011 is the Message Board.
The Message Board is an exciting new module that replaces both the Read File and Must Acknowledge modules. It also eliminates task management associated with the "Must Acknowledge" module.
Message Board is a way for executives, safety managers, and department heads to communicate with all personnel quickly or with selected groups (such as pilots or medics). Easily share critical safety information for airports, airlines, biz jet operators and maintenance operations. Keep track of who has read the messages and effortlessly send email reminders to those who have not yet read "the message."
Message Board also serves as a central location for essential mission information such as Airport Status and Aircraft / Vehicle Status.
Message Board can be accessed from nearly any page in your SMS Pro portal by clicking on the Bell Icon, found Between the Flight Duty Tracker Icons, and the Mission Dispatch Icon at the top of the page. This "Bell" will have a red background color when you have messages that need to be read.
